The Human Library is an international movement designed to promote dialogue, reduce prejudices, and encourage understanding simply through the art of one-on-one conversation.

"How does a Human Library work?" Just like a regular library, but there's one significant difference: the Books in the Human Library are human beings, and each Book and Reader has a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful (and confidential) dialogue about their differing but shared human experience. Readers borrow a Human Book for a limited time, and after borrowing a Book, Readers are encouraged to check out other Books in the Human Library.
