Description

The Committee on the Status of Women (CSW) hosted this festival of short films by, for, and about women to raise money for both the Breast Cancer Fund and the CSW Scholarship fund. It was a fun evening with a silent auction, raffle, wine, cheese—and don't forget the popcorn!

Several of the films in this year’s program have a health-related theme.

Blank Canvas: A woman turns her treatment for uterine cancer into an outlet for self-expression.

Chalk: When a gymnast is selected for the National training camp, she discovers something new about bodies, boys and friendship.

Flawed: The animated story of a woman’s long-distance relationship with a man whose profession—plastic surgery—gives her plenty of fodder for thought about what makes a person beautiful.

Georgena Terry: Georgena Terry, founder of Terry bicycles, revolutionized the women’s biking industry by creating a bike frame specific for a woman’s body.
