Panelists included members of local organizations working on issues surrounding mass incarceration and individuals impacted by California’s “cruel and unusual” policies. There was also a discussion on alternatives to putting people in cages that are more effective, less expensive, and will make families together and keep our communities safer. There was also be a discussion on how one could get involved. Art & Protest was being held in conjunction with CSPG’s Prison Nation exhibition at LMU. Co-sponsored by CURB, Critical Resistance, and the No More Jails L.A. Coalition.
