On April 18, 2017, the William H. Hannon Library hosted a panel for students interested in learning about pursuing a career as information professionals, librarians, and archivists. The events was an opportunity for both LMU undergraduates and local MLIS/iSchool graduate students to hear from a panel of information professionals from a variety of backgrounds (including librarians and archivists with academic, public, medical, and corporate experience).

The panel included Amy Chatfield, medical librarian at USC’s Norris Medical Library; Javier Garibay, Librariain-in-Residence at LMU; Lauren Zuchowski Longwell, Special Collections and University Archivist at LMU; and Joanna Perez, Librarian/Archivist, Blizzard Entertainment. The event was held in the library’s Von der Ahe Family Suite.
