Dr. Kapp will reflect on America's encounter with China over the last few decades, discussing both countries' expectations, ambitions, achievements and frustrations. He will place special emphasis on American business engagements with China since the normalization of diplomatic relations in 1979, and discuss the recent escalating trade tension between the two countries.
