Abstract
Everyone loves a good underdog story right? You know — the athlete on the outside slingshots from behind, and wins it at the last second. Yeah well unfortunately… this is a story about Losers It’s how they grow as people….I myself wanted to go to the olympics. This is a mockumentary half hour comedy called Division None. about the “brokest” college swim team in the country, UC Malibu. This particular story dives into UCM's (UC Malibu’s) fight to belong even if that school tries to cut their program every chance they get. Now this idea may sound fictional, but I assure you it’s not. It’s what’s happening in today's college sports world. In fact it's loosely based on my experience swimming for UC Santa Barbara. The engine of the show is pretty simple — everyday something goes wrong, but the team finds a way to turn it into a positive, and make it a lasting memory. Our characters fail at every turn, but the comedy comes from watching them laugh through the pain rather than let it consume them.
