Abstract

Abstract: This equity research report provides a detailed analysis of Merck & Co., Inc. (Merck or the Company) using both qualitative and quantitative factors to aid investors in making informed decisions. Merck is a global health care company that delivers innovative health solutions. It was incorporated in New Jersey and trades on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: MRK). The report begins with an overview of the pharmaceutical industry and continues with a company specific analysis. Key industry players, significant developments, trends, and challenges are amongst some of the topics analyzed in the industry report. A company specific report then provides a thorough valuation of Merck & Co., Inc. using three valuation methodologies –discounted cash flow model, public comparables method, and comparable transactions method. The comprehensive report concludes with a recommendation for investment action.
