Abstract

Two common classes of effect sizes are reviewed: (1) correlation, which measures the relationship strength and direction between two variables, and (2) mean difference, which indicate how different two means are from one anoher. An explanation of meta-analysis, which is the averaging of effect sizes from studies on the same topic, is alos provided.
