Abstract
Generacer (ʤɛn ə ˈreɪsər) involves the research for and development of a web application built to render representations of horse races based on the data produced after races. It is built to take input from results sheets produced after a horse race, namely the number data indicating the horses’ positions and distances between them at certain points of the race, the timestamps of the first-place horse at these points and render a generic representation of what the race may have looked like. This application, upon further development, would allow users to see visual representations of older races for which no video records exist. The application is still a basic prototype that needs further development to fulfill its overall goal and purpose.
