Introduction

Thank you for your interest in the latest research and scholarship on Catholic education, and thank you to the editors, reviewers, and production team for making this publication possible. This issue includes feature articles focused on K-12 schools and teachers as well as articles focused on Catholic higher education. We continue to welcome article submissions across a wide variety of topics of interest to Catholic education at all levels. For specific upcoming issues, we are especially interested in articles focused on alternative governance models, school law, and the intersection of democracy with Catholic education, as noted below.

Special Issue Call for Papers: Catholic Schools and Democracy

This special issue seeks to explore critical issues and generate key insights that will enhance the work of Catholic schools as they strive to educate and form their students to strengthen democracy. We are seeking papers that elucidate the connection between Catholic schools and democracy at all levels, from K-12 to postsecondary institutions. Papers can include original empirical research, conceptual articles, literature reviews, and practitioner-led articles for the Education in Practice section. Contact Clare Kilbane at ckilbane@nd.edu for more details or to advance a proposal.
