The Role of Sports in Catholic Schools
Introduction
This special issue of the Journal of Catholic Education marks the conclusion of the University of Notre Dame's five-year term as managing institution of the journal. Serving as Editor-in-Chief during this time has been a genuine privilege. It has been an honor to interact with so many outstanding scholars and advance the field of Catholic education through the publication of this journal. I especially want to express my gratitude to Managing Editor Kathleen Kennedy and to Associate Editors Kevin Baxter, John James, Sandria Morten, Aubrey Schoepner-Torres, and Joe Waddington. Their dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence have been instrumental to the journal's success. We are pleased that the governing board has approved the University of Dayton as the next managing institution. We look forward to supporting a smooth transition of editorial and management responsibilities and are confident that the Journal of Catholic Education will continue to uphold its tradition of excellence. Sincerely, Monica Kowalski, Editor-in-ChiefEditors' Commentary
